SheHelms Sailing

SheHelms is a women-led sailing platform focused on learning, conversation, confidence-building and positive cultural change in sailing.

Through live online sessions, small-group courses, interviews and shared experiences, SheHelms creates space for thoughtful discussion, practical learning and supportive connection between sailors.

Its focus is on women’s sailing experiences, while welcoming others who actively support inclusive and respectful sailing cultures.

SheHelms exists to help close the confidence and authority gap many women experience in sailing, particularly when they are the only woman onboard or stepping into leadership roles.

The aim is not competition or performance, but thoughtful seamanship, shared learning and real conversations about sailing life, both good and bad.

Alongside courses and live sessions, SheHelms also highlights organisations, communities and opportunities that align with its values and help sailors find supportive pathways and connections.

Community access is free.
